more romantic ideas.

is God really an all knowing God?

i mean does he really know the plans he has for us, if so why does he let things go so according to plan?

if he knew that man kind would fall why did it effect him the way it did when he spoke to Adam? Why did he spare Noah and his family from the flood knowing that eventually things would be as bad?

why why why God oh my loving God why do you continue to let people sin and curse your name?

if he knew when Adam sinned that he'd have to send the Christ to die a bloody death, his own son,

does it stack up?
i mean can your mind comprehend such an act of love for an inferior creation?

tell me your thoughts and I'll reply in a week

nice things for wifey

after spending time reflecting with my very good friend yesterday i decided that being the unromantic slob that i can be was not good enough and that its time to exercise my LL LUV muscles and reclaim my heavy weight title of cheesy lovey dovey stuff

this blog is a record of the stuff that gets you coffees in bed, awesome roast dinners but most important, makes the one you love feel cherished, loved, cared for, protected,
so if you are a romance retard quite like myself then why don't you take the challenge of becoming a romance junky!
are you man enough?
day 1;
as i wake up at insane hours of the morning i thought that i would stack the dish washer and turn it on.
also when i got home from milking i unloaded the dishwasher and put all my breakfast dish's in it.
upon being asked to slow down last night as we came up to Liz's most hated corner on our horrid road, instead of staying at the same speed i actually slowed down and didn't scare her by getting a little drift in.
i cleaned out the fridge.
i wrote a blog about it.
stay tuned for more heavy weight romance action.

To swear or not to swear

The Subject: Swearing.
The Response: Do as Jesus did.
QUESTION: "Does bad language have long term spiritual consequences or are they just words of emotion made up by man kind?"

This was my first question put up on Blogger and Facebook, to argue a point.
Yes Man did make up the words and the words alone.
I would be bold enough to say they hold no Spiritual consequence, however they're not just words are they?
They are deeply rooted in Human emotion be it anger, pain, lust and in today's society, ecstasy.
What does the Bible say?

Matthew 15:17-19: "Do you not yet understand that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and is eliminated? 18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man. 19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornication's, thefts, false witness, blasphemies."

A physical murder or the act of adultery can not physically be carried out by the Heart, but it is my opinion that the 'Heart' referred to in the Bible is what we refer to as the emotion center of our beings.
Today people rattle off 'F bombs' like they are going out of fashion, its almost as if there is no emotion associated with the words any more, but isn't that the way the Devil gets one up?

He makes something wrong seem not so bad?
Is this not the tactic he used on Eve?
(Refer Genesis 2 & 3).

I realise that the fall of man kind doesn't compare with a swear word but is it beneath Satan to re-use tactics from the old days?

It's obvious that nasty language has dulled in the last 20 years (ie: "Damn" has not got the same effect as 20 years ago) could the devil have been using this same tactic again with our topic of swearing? you be judge.

I believe to answer my first Q, yes they are man made words of emotion but it's clear in the scripture (both old and new testament) that because they are emotion words we should exercise strong caution with letting them pass our lips.

QUESTION: Is there a difference between saying "flipping heck" or f###*** hell?
Is there even a clean cut line or is it just a conscience thing?

A pastor once explained to me that using substitute words can be equal to the real thing as he believed that there was a spirit of swearing.
If you believe in Angels and Demons and their influence in our mortal world then I believe that this is a very real concept.
Lets step away from swearing for a moment and look at sin as a whole.

When we sin its to satisfy a want here and now.
After we sin we often feel a short term gratification, but then suffer the long term consequences.

My experience in the cow shed is that it does not matter what words you use, if you yell at a cow for not getting on the platform all 600 of them will make you suffer and not get on the platform. Do it often enough and they will never come right for you (please note that I don't yell and rant at my cows I've just observed other workers do it).

Is it spiritual? maybe not but it is interesting that whatever words you use in high emotion gets you to the same place, more angry.

A Friend of mine commented on this blog and quoted proverbs " a man who is quick to speak is a fool but a man who holds his tongue is wise"

Again with the cows, every farmer gets angry when a cow does something she knows is wrong but a good farmer will quietly coax her back to where she needs to be. Farmer is calm and less stressed, cow is happy and the rest of the herd probably doesn't know something has happened.
So be it flip 'or duck with an f ' you'll get the same consequence be it under high emotion.

Finally my last statement there could imply that if you can say the naughty words with no emotion in your heart that they are alright to say, please refer back to the top of this ditty

And if still you feel that you're the exception to the rule please for the cows sake keep it clean and have some class!

If you struggle with swearing and you feel it is a problem for you take heart.
I was told when I started farming that swearing was OK on a dairy farm.
I decided then and there that I would not ever move on the bench mark I had set for myself and I haven't. However compiling the information I needed for this blog I have decided to move my bench mark closer to Jesus and tighten my lips more.

Why?

Because if Jesus stood in front of me, I would see that my white robes are as filthy rags.

God Bless,

From Beyond The Cow Shed

Swearing:

QUESTION!

In todays modern Church society and culture, where is the line on bad language?
Does bad language have long term spiritual consequences or are they just words of emotion made up by man kind?
Is there a differnce between saying "flippen heck" or f###*** hell
Is there even a clean cut line or is it just a conscience thing?
